Mission Santa Barbara. The only twin towered mission. Also the only mission continuously occupied by the Franciscans, from its founding to date. Barbara is the patron saint of both Architects and Artillerymen. Interesting when you realize that the objective of one is to erect beautiful structures and of the other to blow them up!
